Known as the ultimate wedding and events venue in Barbados as well as an idyllic holiday destination, perfect for couples and families, Bellevue Plantation House has pushed the boundaries of destination travel once again.
As I sit on the verandah of our Bellevue Plantation House and take in the lovely setting with all the mahogany trees and colourful bougainvillea and heavily scented lilies…I’m not surprised that the celebrity Girls Aloud pop star Kimberley Walsh and her fiancé Justin Scott chose to stay here for their Barbados wedding last month. Although their wedding was not at the House, the happy couple hosted a few private parties here for family and close friends like Cheryl Fernandez Versini. I gather our wonderful management team, Terry and Rahanna, gave them a lot of assistance with key arrangements for their church service and reception. Thanks guys!
Many of our destination brides need to be sure their weddings are hassle-free plus fun for themselves and their guests but they also want the special local touches and no-expense-spared kind of detail that make it a truly memorable occasion. Here are a few suggestions

“With turquoise seas, a vibrant culture and 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, Barbados is rightly acknowledged as a postcard paradise. ‘The Gem of the Caribbean’ continues to charm visitors — for good reason.

Bellevue is perfect for private functions, family parties, family celebrations, incentive groups and retreats. We are regularly the hosting venue for one of Barbados’s best nights out, which is a burlesque party organised by passion events.
Paul Astrom Andrews and his wife Sarah Jane Gaselee are the proud owners of Bellevue Plantation. Paul has lived all over the world. He was born in London but moved to Thailand at the age of 19, dividing his life between there and Hong Kong for 14 years. He worked in publishing, producing beautiful, lavishly illustrated coffee table books which focussed on the areas in which he travelled – Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Australia and elsewhere. Simultaneously, Paul worked on the development of golf courses in Thailand.
Since January 2014, Bellevue has been independently run by the owners Paul Andrews and Simon Briggs – they wanted to be personally involved rather than have the property be run by agents. This has brought about many changes at Bellevue with regard to attention to detail. Our guests now enjoy a much higher level of service and comfort. Over the past ten months, our reputation for hospitality has grown dramatically. Word has also spread of the amazing weddings we hold on the grounds.
In addition to Bellevue, we have another wonderful property – Coconut House, situated in one of Antigua’s most exclusive enclaves, Nonsuch Bay. The house is surrounded by forty acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, with ocean views and its own secluded beach. Coconut House has been completed to the highest of standards with great attention to detail paid to all fixtures, fittings and furnishings. This beautifully maintained property is ideally positioned at the end of a row of homes in the development and has a large private garden.
